Do you try to hide the lump in your throat that makes your voice tremble when you are hurt?

Do you try to act as if you can handle any blow and just let things go past you without an impact?

Your efforts to appear strong and unaffected don’t fool anyone, least of all your hurt self!

If you deny your own hurt you may get a momentary sense of power, but watch out for the way the hurt explodes later on!

Denied and suppressed hurt feelings come out when you least expect it

Suppressed hurt feelings come out as accusatory up to weeks and months later!

Denied and suppressed hurt feelings come out as punishment when you find a way to wound your loved one and get revenge!

Suppressed and denied hurt feelings come out as hostility and contempt when you can’t hold it in any longer.

Contempt is the leading cause of divorce and break up.
